DRIED HIBISCUS FLOWERS
Our dried Hibiscus flowers make it possible to prepare a drink with a slightly tart taste, with a scent of red fruit, very thirst-quenching and refreshing, commonly called karkadé or bissap in Senegal where it is the national drink.
Hibiscus flower infusion, with a high content of calcium, vitamin C, niacin and iron, is known for its digestive and draining properties.
Hibiscus flowers are grown and harvested only by hand by smallholder producers working in the Thiadiaye region of Senegal. Diongoma works without intermediaries, which allows him to guarantee a fair income for women farmers and to control the quality of crops, whose products are certified Organic by Ecocert ©.
USE
To obtain one liter of bissap, infuse six tablespoons of Hibiscus flowers in pre-boiled water for ten minutes. Filter and sweeten to your liking, then enjoy hot, cold or iced.
This infusion can also be reduced to syrup, then to be diluted like a classic syrup.
Our Hibiscus flowers are grown on our fields and prepared in our own premises in the Thiadiaye region in Senegal in partnership with groups of women producers.
