Djibathen SAMBOU is Diola, heir to the secrets of the sacred wood of Casamance, from the royal family of Kagnoute.
His school, his fine arts are the street. He likes richness, chiaroscuro, captures the vibrations then returns them on his support.
Born in 1953 in the south of Senegal in Oussouye, he has been a painter since 1968 and since 1972 has participated in numerous exhibitions in Senegal and internationally.
His works all bear a name evoking the author's aspirations: "When I paint, I speak and, in the end, one must understand me".
